The accident involving Robinson R-44 RA 04288 helicopter occurred near Novosheshminsk rural locality, Tatarstan Republic on July 5, 2014. According to the avaliable information, the pilot on board was injured, the rotorcraft was destroyed.
The Interstate Aviation Commttee has formed the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work.

The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident involving Robinson R-44 RA-04288 helicopter owned by AK BARS AERO, JSC occurred in the Republic of Tatarstan (RF) on July 5, 2014.
The non-fatal accident involving R-44 RA-04288 helicopter was caused by helicopter hard touchdown during the emergency landing with engine out. Most probabably, the accident was caused by the following factors:
      - performing operation in showers contrary to clauses 162 and 166 of FAR-136 regulations;
      - carburator acing caused by high humidity of inlet air followed by engine stoppage. It wasn't possible to determine the procedure of using the carburator heating system in emergency flight;
      - commited by pilot autorotating rotor speed drop below specified by FOM during the emergency landing.
      The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
