The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident with Agusta Bell-206 B3 RA-01630 private helicopter which occurred in the Krasnodarsky Krai (RF) on 24.09.2016.

The accident with Agusta Bell-206 B3 RA-01630 helicopter occurred during an emergency landing due to an in-flight engine shutdown caused by complete fuel depletion.

Most probably, the following factors contributed to the accident:

-          neglection of the en-route wind conditions when calculating fuel required for the flight;

-          late decisions on finding an appropriate landing site and on landing;

-          the PIC's piloting errors during the emergency landing while switching to the windmilling mode after the engine shutdown.

Based on the investigation results, appropriate safety recommendations have been developed.
