According to the information received the accident with An-2 RA-02203 aircarft operated by "Yug-Line" Airline occurred near Vostochnaya village, Krasnodar Territory (RF) on March 23, 2013. According to the prelinminary information one of two crew members was killed, the second one was injured. The aircraft was partially destroyed.
The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team started its work.
The Investigation team of the Interstate Aviation Committee has completed the investigation of the fatal accident with Аn-2 RA-02203 aircraft owned by "Yug-Line" Airlines" LLC occurred in the Krasnodar region (RF) on March 23, 2013.
The fatal acident with Аn-2 RA-02203 aircraft was caused by its nosing during the emergency landing on water surface.
The emergency landing was caused by the engine power loss and flameout in the air due to destruction of the exhaust collector can type combustor and burnthrough of the carburator intake valve followed by hight temperature burnt gases ingestion into the engine carburator intake.
The destruction of the exhaust collector can type combustor most probably occured on the corrosion mechanism energised in conditions of the material heat during the engine operation using motor petrol. Power factor resulted in initial crack formation most probably was caused by residual tenses in the material of manufacture origine caused during can type combustor manufacture.
In accordance with the passport the latest can type combustor overhaul was performed on January 27, 2009 in "Shakhtinsky ARZ DOSSAAF" CJSC. The commission didn't find the acual confirmation of the can type combustor overhaul as the marking at the single remained label indicates that the specified section had overhaul at the plant № 420GA in October 1983.
The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
