The non-fatal accident involving An-2 RA-35141 aircraft operated by Yenisey Airlines occurred in Bratsky District, Irkutsk Region (RF) on September 16, 2015.
The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed the Investigation team of this accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work.

The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident involving An-2 RA-35141 aircraft operated by Yenisey Airlines, Ltd occurred in the Irkutsk Region (RF) on September 15, 2015.

The accident involving An-2 RA-35141 aircraft occurred during the emergency landing on a forest firebreak. The need to perform it was caused by in-flight engine power loss as a result of the destruction of the bronze casting of the crankshaft bushing 62.06.02 of the main connecting rod of the crank mechanism.

Most probably, the destruction of the bronze casting was caused by a manufacturing defect consisting of a lack of bronze friction with the steel base on a part of its surface.

Appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
