On May 19, 2026, near Khandyga Airport, Sakha Republic (Yakutia, RF), the accident involving An-2 RA-40440 aircraft owned by RegionAvia LLC occurred. It is reported that 3 crew members and 5 passengers were on board. As a result of the accident the PIC was injured, the aircraft was destroyed and further burned down.
The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed an Investigation team. The Investigation team has started its work.
