According to the recieved information the accident with AC4-DU RA-0423A (FVSP) private glider occurred in the area of Adazi a/d (Latvia) on May 4, 2016. The pilot on board was killed, the aircraft was destroyed.
Transport Accident and Incident Investigation Bureau (TAIIB) of Latvia conducts the accident investigation.
The Interstate Aviation Committee appointed the accredited representative in order to participate in the accident investigation in accordance with the Annex 13 to the Convention on international civil aviation and Russian Air Legislation.
