The accident involving Ка-32 RA-31024 helicopter operated by Avialift Vladivostok Airline occurred in the Menderes District, İzmir Province (Turkey) on July 2, 2017.
According to the available information, the rotorcraft sustained substantial damage, 3 crew members and one non-crew member escaped unharmed, one passenger was injured.
Based on Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and Russian Aviation Legislation, Interstate Aviation Committee has assigned the accredited representative and advisers to participate in the investigation conducted by the Accident Investigation Board of Turkey (KAIK).
On July 19, 2017 the flight recorders of Ка-32 RA-31024 helicopter (accident is being investigated by KAIK, Turkish Accident Investigation Board) were delivered to the IAC Laboratory. IAC experts jointly with KAIK representatives provided a visual inspection and opening of the recorders. The media were extracted and put under examinations. The recorders didn't receive any mechanical damages but they spent few days in water. Activities are in progress.
