The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident with Mi-2 RA-15696 helicopter owned by "Orenburg" International Airport" FSUE occurred in the Orenburg region (RF) on July 2, 2012.
Most probably the accident was caused by cyclic heavy load resulted in helicopter out-of-balance condition when accelerating to the speed at low altitude followed by helicopter rotor blades impact with ground obstacle. Most probably loads occurance was possible due to button closure (sealing) in trims control circuit at rotor cycle pitch stick.
It wasn't possible to determine PIC's actual control and their influence on emergency situation development according to the available information.
Most probably the following factors contributed to the accident:
- non-identification of control coarsening causes by PIC;
- rapid development of emergency situation at low-level operation which didn't allow PIC to take timely measures to prevent it.
The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
