MI-8 AMT RA-22472 09.03.2013

     According to the information received the accident with Mi-8 AMT RA-22472 helicopter owned by "UTair" AIrlines occurred in 15 km from Bukavu Airport (Democratic Republic of the Kongo) in mountainous area on March 9, 2013.
4 crew members on board were killed, the rotorcraft was destroyed and partially burnt down.
     Based on Annex 13 to the Convention on international civil aviation and russian aviation legislation the Interstate Aviaiton Committee assigned the accredited representative and advisors for participation in investigation team work.
    

      Delegation of the Ministry of Transport of the Democratic Republic of Congo due to the investigation of the accident with Mi-8AMT RA-22472 helicopter owned by "UTair" Airlines" JSC occured in the territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo on March 9, 2013 arrived at the Interstate Aviation Committee on May 21, 2013.
      Commission of the Democratic Republic of Congo delivered the cockpit voice recorder. The IAC experts proceeded to data readout.
     

     On May 27, 2013 flight data recorder of Mi-8AMT RA-22472 helicopter owned by "UTair Airlines" JSC involved in the fatal accident at the territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo on March 9, 2013 was delivered to the Interstate Aviation Committee.
     The Interstate Aviation Committee specialists carried out activities on FDR and CVR data readout. All registered flight recorders data is copied and transferred to the delegation of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Congo.
    

      The Commission of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Democratic Republic of Congo completed the investigation of the accident with Mi-8АМТ RA-22472 helicopter, owned by the "UTair" Airlines" JSC occurred in 15 km from Bukavu airport on March 9, 2013.
      With the Investigation team consent the IAC publishes the original of the Final report in French language and translation of parts 3 and 4 into Russian language.
