On August 2, 2024, near Adana Province (Republic of Turkey) the non-fatal accident involving Мi-8АМТ RA-24646 helicopter owned by Abakan Air, LLC occurred. According to the available information, the firefighter struck the water surface and sank down. 3 crew members and 2 passengers were on board, there are no victims.
The investigation of the accident is being conducted by the Transport Safety Investigation Center (UEIM) of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey. Based on Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and Russian Aviation Legislation, the Interstate Aviation Committee has appointed an investigator-in-charge and advisers to participate in the investigation.
The IAC would like to emphasize the fact that, in accordance with the Standards of Annex 13, the official reporting of the investigation progress and results is the responsibility of the investigation authority (UEIM) of the state conducting the investigation (Republic of Turkey).
