The accident with Mi-8T RA-22919 helicopter owned by the "Vityaz-Aero" Airline JSC occurred in 28 km from Esso locality (Kamchatka region, RF) at the rising area at the altitude 1400 m above the mean sea level on April 23, 2015. According to the available information 3 crew members and 3 passengers on board were injured, the aircraft was damaged.

The Interstate Aviation Committee has assigned the Investigation team of this accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation.

     The Investigation team of the Interstate Aviation Committee has completed the investigation of the accident with Мi-8Т RA-22919 helicopter operated by "VITYAZ AERO" aviation company LLC occurred in the Kamchatka Region (RF) on April 24, 2015.
     The accident with Мi-8Т RA-22919 helicopter was caused by not maintaining safe altitude in mountainous area, not taking timely decision about returning to the alternate aerodrome (airfield) in adverse weather conditions inappropriate for VFR flight followed by the rotorcraft attitude loss that resulted in rotorcraft collision with a rising ground and it destruction.
     The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
