10 august 2015

   Fragments of Mi-8T RA-24614 missing aircraft operated by Tuva Airlines were found at the rising ground (at the altitude 2300 2400 m) in 100 km from Kyzyl a/p on August 7, 2015. According to the preliminary information 10 people remains were found, the aircraft was destroyed, there are signs of fire.
     In connection with aircraft detection the Investigation team proceeded to the accident site.

The Investigation team of the Interstate Aviation Committee has completed the investigation of the accident with Mi-8T RA-24614 helicopter owned by "TyvaAvia Airlines" of aerospace industry occurred in the Republic of Tyva (RF) on October 10, 2014.

The accident with Mi-8T RA-24614 helicopter was caused by the crew visual orientation and its real position loss in conditions not corresponding with VFR operations, at unauthorized low altitude that resulted in controlled flight into mountain ridge.

The PIC didn't take timely decision to interrupt flight under the en-route meteorological conditions.

The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
