On 18.04.2017 the accident with Mi-8T RA-25377 helicopter owned by "VITYAZ-AERO" Aviation Company, Ltd occurred near Mutnovsky volcano, Kamchatka region (RF). According to the available information 3 crew members and 16 passengers were on board. As a result of the accident 3 passengers were injured, the rotorcraft was damaged.

The Interstate Aviation Committee has assigned the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team started its work.

The Interstate Aviation Committee informs about the progress of Mi-8Т RA-25377 helicopter (operated by VITYAZ-AERO Airline Ltd) accident investigation.

Final report on the investigation progress is published on the IAC web-site.

Preliminary Report is issued in accordance with clause 2.4.12 of Civil Aviation Regulations “Investigation of Air Accidents and Incidents in the Russian Federation” and clause 7.4 of ICAO Annex 13 to Convention on International Civil Aviation. The Interim statement contains factual information acquired so far by the Investigation team.

Upon completion of investigation works the Final Report will be issued by the Investigation team.

Information presented in the Interim statement is preliminary and can be specified and updated in accordance with the investigation results.
