The accident involving R-44 RA-04339 helicopter owned by Kogalym Express, LLC occurred in Neryungri town, Sakha Republic (Yakutia, RF) on August 14, 2015. According to the available information the pilot and 2 passengers were on board, the pilot was killed, 2 passengers were injured, the aircraft was completely burnt.
The Interstate Aviation Commission has formed the Investigation team of this accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work.

The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident involving R-44 II RA-04339 helicopter owned by Kolyma Express, Ltd occurred in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) on August 14, 2015

The accident involving Robinson R-44 II RA-04339 helicopter was caused by loss of outside view monitoring (visuospatial attention), most probably, during landing approach that resulted in rotor blade collision with ground obstacle (lamp post), helicopter control loss, its uncontrolled descent and ground impact.

The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
