The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident with Robinson R-44 Clipper II RA-04142 helicopter owned by "Baikal aviation club" occurred in the Republic of Buryatia (RF) on July 31, 2012.
The accident with Robinson R-44 Clipper II RA-04142 helicopter was caused by rotor speed decay below minimum values resulted in emergency landing and helicopter roll-over.
The Investigsation team couldn'r determine rorot speed decay cause due to lack of data recorders on board.
Most probably speed decay was caused by degradation of piloting technique and left out of consideration the meteorological and orographic features of Sagan Sair landing site by PIC.
According to provided data PIC wasn't trained for landing on sites selected while in flight at the altitudes above 1000 m.
Appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
