The non-fatal accident involving R-44 RA-04368 helicopter owned by Barkol Airlines occurred near Pioner village, Penza Region (RF) on August 13, 2014. According to the available information, the pilot and three passengers were on board, the rotorcraft sank in a swamp.
The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation.The Investigation team has started its work.

The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident involving Robinson R-44 II RA-04368 helicopter operated by BARKOL Airlines occurred in the Penza Region (RF) on August 13, 2014.
      The accident involving Robinson R-44 II RA-04368 helicopter occured during operation over "smooth" (zero wind conditions) lake surface at ground-hugging altitude most probably due to the loss of flight altitude perception by PIC that resulted in aircraft water collection.
      The following factors contributed to the accident:
      - flight operation by PIC most probably in condition of alcohol intoxication;
      - neglecting recommendations of FOM SN-19 safety notices of Robinson R-44 II on flight hazard over water surface at low altitude.
     The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
