The accident with R-66 RA-06239 helicopter owned by "Agro-Vostochnaya Agro Group" LLC occurred in the area of Aviatior town of Kirsanovsky district of Tambov region on February 2, 2016. According to the available information the pilot and a passenger on board were injured, the rotorcraft sustained substantial damage.

The Interstate Aviation Committee has assigned the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work.

The Investigation team of the Interstate Aviation Committee has completed the investigation of the accident with Robinson R-66 RA-06239 helicopter owned by "Southeast agricultural group" LLC occurred in the Tambov region on February 2, 2016.

The accident with R-66 RA-06239 helicopter was caused by controlled flight into terrain due to flight altitude monitoring loss by PIC above empty view snow covered featureless terrain with smooth ground elevation in first touchdown area corresponding to the helicopter flight level.

The appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
