The accident with Robinson R44 RA-04347 helicopter owned by "Uryukman" Ltd occurred in Baleysky region of Zabaykalsky territory on October 23, 2016. According to the available information the pilot on board and two passengers were killed, the rotorcraft was destroyed.

The Interstate Aviation Committee has assigned the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work.

The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident with R-44 RA-04347 helicopter owned by Uryumkan, Ltd (Chita) in Trans-Baikal Territory (RF) on 22.10.2016.

Most probably the accident with R-44 RA-04347 helicopter was caused by the flight crew spatial disorientation when performing VFR night flight. Spatial disorientation, most probably, was caused by lack of natural horizon line discernibility and of visual surface light references.

Most probably, contributing factor was that one of flight crew members was working in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

Appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
