The accident involving Robinson R-66 RA-05783 helicopter owned by State Enterprise of Krasnoyarsk Krai Krasavia occurred near Narva village, Krasnoyarsk Krai (RF) on September 15, 2016. According to the available information, two passengers on board were injured, the rotorcraft was damaged.
The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work.
The Interstate Aviation Committee Investigation team has completed the investigation of the accident involving R-66 RA-05783 helicopter owned by KrasAvia, State Enterprise occurred in Krasnoyarsk Krai (RF) on September 15, 2016.
Most probably, the accident involving R-66 RA-05783 helicopter was caused by PIC's piloting error resulted in disproportionate controls deflection during takeoff, which caused the subsequent uncontrollable descent and ground impact.
A contributing factor was the pilot’s failure to take into consideration the provisions of FOM Section 5 “Flight Characteristics” regarding recommended takeoff profile.
Appropriate safety recommendations based on the investigation results were developed.
