TBC-2MC RA-2099G 02.06.2017

On June 2, 2017 the accident involving TVS-2MS RA-2099G aingle-built aircraft owned by Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Siberian Aeronautical Research Institute named after S. A. Chaplygin» occurred during takeoff from Chinggis Khaan Airport (Ulan Bator, Republic of Mongolia). According to the available information during takeoff from Chinggis Khaan Airport the aircraft ground impact occurred. Two crew members, two maintenance technicians and five passengers escaped unharmed, the aircraft was damaged. The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed the Investigation team in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work. 

The Interstate Aviation Committee informs about the progress of accident investigation involving TBC-2MC RA-2099G single-built aircraft operated by SibNIA named after S.A. Chaplygin.

Interim statement on the investigation progress is published on the IAC web-site. 

Interim statement is issued in accordance with clause 2.4.12 of Regulations on Civil Aircraft Accident and Incident investigation in the Russian Federation and clause 7.4 of ICAO Annex 13 to Convention on International Civil Aviation. The Interim statement includes actual information received todate by the Investigation team. 

Upon completion of investigation works the Final Report will be issued by the Investigation team.

Information presented in the Interim statement is preliminary and can be specified and updated in accordance with the investigation results.
