TU-204S RA-64021 24.08.2016

The accident involving Tu-204S RA-64021 aircraft operated by Aviastar TU Airlines occurred at Norilsk Airport, Krasnoyarsk Krai (RF) on August 24, 2016. According to the available information, 4 crew members on board escaped unharmed, the aircraft was damaged.

The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed the Investigation team of the accident in accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation. The Investigation team has started its work.

In accordance with the letter of FATA Flight Safety Inspection Department director the aviation event involving Tu-204S aircraft operated by Aviastar TU company occurred in Norilsk Airport on August 24, 2016, was reclassified into major incident. The investigation is conducted by FATA Commission in accordance with the Regulations on Civil Aircraft Accident and Incident investigation in the Russian Federation approved by Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated June 18, 1998 № 609.

In accordance with the letter dated September 1, 2016, of FATA flight safety inspection Department head, based on damage analysis of Tu-204S RA-64021 aircraft owned by Aviastar-TU Airlines Ltd, identified by representatives of Tupolev, JSC as a result of the aircraft inspection performed in Norilsk Airport on August 30-31, 2016, and represented in FATA flight safety inspection Department in the form of technical act based on Tu-204S RA-64021 aircraft inspection results Aviastar-TU Airlines, Ltd after hard touchdown the aviation event involving Tu-204S RA-64021 occurred at Norilsk Airport on August 24, 2016, is reclassified into non-fatal accident again. 

In accordance with the Russian Aviation Legislation the Interstate Aviation Committee formed the Investigation team of the accident. The Investigation team has started its work.
