On January 8, 2022 in the Hangzhou (Xiaoshan) International Airport (China) the accident involving Tu-204S RA-64032 aircraft owned by Aviastar-Tu Airlines occurred.
According to the available information on the aircraft took fire during towing before takeoff. As a result of the fire the aircraft was significantly damaged, there were no fatalities.
In accordance with provisions of ICAO Annex 13 "Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigation" the investigation is conducted by the competent authority of China. The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) has assigned the accredited representative team. The accredited representative and his team start their work.
IAC draws attention to the fact that acccording to ICAO Annex 13 Standards the official information on the progress and results of the investigation is to be provided by a State conducting the investigation.
