On 20.10.2024 at 07:30 UTC, in the area of SkyDive Dubai Margham Drop Zone, UAE, a jumper (a RF citizen) was killed when he was performing a jump with a wingsuit.
The Air Accident Investigation Sector of the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates (AAIS UAE) has classified the event as the "accident" and initiated the investigation.
In accordance with Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the Notification was presented to the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) as the Russian Federation air accident investigation authority representing both the State of Design and the State of Manufacturer of the wingsuit. The IAC appointed an accredited representative and advisor for the investigation.
Now the investigation is completed. On 24.02.2025, the Report was published on the website of the General Civil Aviation Authority of the UAE. It is available via the following link:
