Commission on accident investigation

The IAC investigates all aircraft accidents involving aircraft of the States parties to the Agreement both on their territories and outside them, as well as within the framework of other agreements concluded with other States. The basic principle of the IAC investigation system is independence. This is consistent with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and European Community Directive on the independent aircraft accident investigation. The IAC's accident investigation activities fully comply with Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
